The main difference between the 2 styles is the size/weight. They are both super soft and block light and sound. Everyone desires a different amount of pressure/weight so we offer 2 different sizes. However, both styles are adjustable - there is a zippered pouch where you can add/remove Fill so that you can make your Sleep Crown feel just right for you. Many Customers buy one and then end up getting the other style too. 

If you are sensitive to sound, go for the Classic because it does a better job at muffling out ambient noise. If you tend to sleep on the warm side, go for the Traveler because it has a much lighter feel. Also, no need to wait for travel to use the Traveler - you can use this as your nightly Crown in your own bed. :)

Here are laundry instructions for your Crown...

It is not advisable to wash the Inner Jacket which contains the Fill. The Fill is very delicate and doesn’t like to get wet.

1. Remove the Pillow Case
2. locate the invisible zipper across the top of the next layer inward.

3. Unzip and shimmy off the Outer Jacket.

4. Wash the Pillow Case and the Outer Jacket.

5. Dry on delicate or hang to dry.
6. When replacing the cases, be sure to match up the curve along the bottom of the pillow so that it all aligns nicely.

To launder your Silk Pillow Case, please use a silk-friendly or pH neutral detergent.

Don't stress too much. Here’s what we recommend to do:

-Remove the Pillow Case

-Unzip and remove the Outer Jacket (the zippered jacket with the logo ribbon in the corner).

-Now you have separated the Pillow Case, the Outer Jacket and the Inner Jacket which contains the Fill.

-Put these 3 items in the dryer and dry until the Fill is very dry. It could take a while.

-Put all pieces back together aligning the curves at the bottom.

It should be ok!

So sorry to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and other US territories. Shipping to these places, even though they are part of the US is extremely costly and difficult for a small businesses. We are barely keeping up with the current demand and had to make the tough call to restrict sales to mainland US only. Additionally, collecting, reporting, and paying sales taxes in certain states is problematic for small businesses. We employ multiple entities to help keep track of everything, however some states make things next to impossible. Looking at you Colorado. As much as we adore all of our Customers, we have made the difficult decision to stop doing business in the state of Colorado effective March 1, 2026. If the CO Dept. of Revenue ever changes their policy to extend to all cities in Colorado, we are happy to begin service again.

Our Pillows are lovingly made by hand in Austin, Texas. We are a small family business. We produce as many Pillows as we are able to make without sacrificing our quality or our employee's sanity. We restock weekly, typically on Tuesdays at 9am Central Time, and we tend to sell out quite quickly these days.

In order to prevent oversell, our website cancels all open carts once the Pillows are sold out. If you have Pillows in your cart and you are not able to complete your transaction, this is likely what happened. We do not offer pre-sale or waitlists and work on a first come, first served basis.
We understand that having a Pillow taken from your cart before checkout is complete is very frustrating, and we appreciate your understanding. Sometimes it can take a few weeks to secure a Crown, but we do hope that you will come back and try again.

If you are able to be on our website right at the time of the drop (keep your time zone in mind) and know exactly which style and color of Sleep Crown you want to order will give you the best possible chance at placing your order. If you want an over-the-head Pillow, please don't buy a Queen. Our Queen Pillow is designed to go under the head like a traditional Pillow. We make this specialty pillow in very small batches
and it is not returnable. We want to make sure that you receive the perfect Crown for you!

Please be mindful of which Pillow style you already own when ordering an additional Pillow Case. Not sure which style you have? All sales are final. Sleep Crown does not offer returns or exchanges. After your transaction is complete, we cannot change your order due to our inventory array, fulfillment system and the
software we use. We can cancel your order with a 3% credit card cancellation fee until 5pm Central time on the day of transaction, however we are not able to edit your order.

Orders ship via UPS from Austin, TX, Wednesdays through Fridays. Transit typically takes 3–4 days, depending on your proximity to Austin. We recommend tracking your package and keeping
a close eye out for your delivery. Mis-deliveries and theft are a huge bummer for everyone involved.

We buy organic Lenzing thread and have our organic bamboo jersey fabric knit in California. California is the state with the highest standards and oversight. For something that we all snuggle with - I want to be sure that my offerings are of the highest quality.

Our Fill is made of Vegan Down. No animal products are used in the production of this pillow. Sleep Crowns are bird-friendly, cruelty-free and vegan…but please don’t eat them! We did not stop until we were able to determine the best way to combine these (luscious) ingredients into the droopiest, softest, drapiest, most luscious, nurturing pillow you may have ever felt.

We have selected a premium Vegan Down Fill that is a micro-denier polyester. The texture feels like cotton candy and a marshmallow fell in love and had a baby. The Fill is made in Georgia using no toxic dyes and no styrene. Sleep Crowns are hypoallergenic, vegan and cruelty-free. The Fill is encased in 2 zippered jackets and 1 pillow case. If you are extremely sensitive to polyester, this may not be the pillow for you.

Our products are hypoallergenic, but we would like to call out a couple of specific things for extra-sensitive folks:Our Regal Eyes Eye Pillows are filled with Flax Seeds. If you have an allergy to flax, please stay away from this product.Our Organic Bamboo Jersey Knit fabric contains less than 5% Lycra. This helps our super stretchy fabric hold its shape. If you are allergic to lycra, our pillows are sadly not for you.

Sleep Crown works well if you are a side-sleeper. Your hands will naturally pull, tug and tuck it right into place. Adjust your Sleep Crown so that the maximum amount of light and sound are blocked. Always ensure that your nose and mouth are completely clear and free to breathe.

Although we worry about your neck in this position, Sleep Crown works well here too. In this position, you may use a corner of your Sleep Crown to sleep on top of, or you may use it as intended - draped over the face to block light and sound. We’ve been happy to receive glowing feedback from stomach sleepers. The word is that the pillow is so soft and squishy, it easily accommodates those who sleep on their stomachs.

Perfect! This is the preferred sleeping position for your structural body. Sleep Crown works well in this position. Easily align the curve at the base of Sleep Crown with the bridge of your nose. Your hands can tuck the lower corners near your ears. Adjust your Sleep Crown until the light and sound are blocked and drift off to sleep. Gravitational forces will keep Sleep Crown in place. No straps needed.

If you shift positions in the night, it is possible that your Sleep Crown may fall away. If you awaken in the night, your hands will find it and naturally pull it back into place. If it falls away, it will typically fall backward (between the crown of your head and the headboard).

As of October 1st, 2026, Sleep Crown does not offer returns or exchanges. All sales are final. Our Pillows are lovingly made by hand in Austin, and not resalable after departing Sleep Crown Headquarters. After careful consideration, we switched to a no-return policy to minimize waste.

We begin making our Pillows from organic thread and specially knit and dye our own bamboo jersey fabric. At times, minor specs or spots appear on our fabric which is a natural part of our non-toxic dyeing process.

After your transaction is complete, we cannot change your order due to our inventory array, fulfillment system and the software we use. Please make your color selection carefully. Refunds for canceled orders include a 3% credit card fee.

Organic Bamboo Jersey is a cooling fabric. According to the National Sleep Foundation, the optimal sleep temperature is between 60-67 degrees. If you are a hot sleeper and you awaken in the night warm, you can flip your Sleep Crown to the other side. Some use Sleep Crown simply to help them fall asleep and allow it to fall away naturally over the course of the night. If you are experiencing hot flashes, Sleep Crown may not be for you.

All Sleep Crowns are totally customizable. We want you to play with it until you find the perfect fluffiness for you. Remove the Sleep Crown Case, unzip the zippers of the Outer Jacket and the Inner Jacket. Remove or add the desired amount of Fill. You may want to store the Fill that you remove in an airtight bag for future use.

Sleep Crown may not be for you. However, some find it very comforting to place Sleep Crown over their chest or simply snuggle one. They are supremely soft and enjoyable any way you place it. Once you buy your very own Sleep Crown, you get to decide how to use it.

Our products are handmade in the US - truly sewn and filled by hand - one at a time. We knit our own super-soft organic bamboo fabric from the thread. All of our ingredients are of the highest quality. Everyone who touches these pillows is paid what is fair and reasonable. Sleep Crown pricing includes the pillow, a custom pillow case, a travel carrying pouch and the cost of fast shipping. Our ingredients and costs continue to rise. We are a small business and this is simply the cost of what it takes to make our products and be a profitable company. We are doing everything we can to not lift prices. 

Sorry that we are not able to offer a discount. If we were able to do this all of the time, we would simply lower our prices.
